It’s Week 3 of the AIHL season, and all teams have started their battle for the Goodall Cup. So far, the standings comprise of the same top four teams than played in the Finals last year, but it is still very early on so plenty can change.
On to the previews and tips!
With the first weekend of games out of the way, we have now got a bit of a benchmark for how the changes teams have made over the summer have manifested themselves. Sometimes it’s the goalies, sometimes it’s the forwards, sometimes it’s the imports, and sometimes it’s the coaches. They all make a difference to the end result, and we have seen the very early indications of those changes.
Anyway, here’s my tips for the second weekend of games.
This weekend marks the start of the 2017 AIHL season, so for something different. I’m going to look at each game and try to determine what the outcome will be.
As it is Round 1, there are many unknowns about each of the teams, so these predictions are probably going to be wildly off the mark. By Sunday night, we will know how well I have gone.
